Our aim is to provide the kind of personal medical care which has always been associated with the traditional family doctor, but in a modern setting. The following information explains our practice philosophy and our services.

HISTORY

Wellness on Wellington which was previously known as Parkridge Medical Centre is the oldest medical clinic in Rowville. It was established in 1987 and relocated to larger, purpose built premises in 2004. We will be expanding to our new location at 1101 Wellington road late in 2010. The founding philosophy - experienced practitioners, dedicated care and quality facilities - sets the tone of the practice to this day. We are committed to providing excellent, friendly care to the individuals, families and community of Rowville, Lysterfield and Ferntree Gully.

We therefore provide services in all areas of General Practice - preventative health, women's and children's health issues, obstetrics and family planning, travel care, sports and work-related medicine and minor surgery - as well as all aspects of general medical care.

Our growth over the years has reflected our success in achieving these aims - new patients attend mainly through word of mouth referrals from local residents to their neighbours and friends.

We were the first practice in Rowville to be Fully Accredited - a recognition that the facilities and procedures of the practice meet the standards set as the marker of quality care. We are proud that all our permanent doctors hold the FRACGP - the highest qualification available in General Practice - and that we are helping train the doctors of tomorrow for that important degree.
