Dr Julia Trayer

Julia Trayer has been a General Practitioner since 2004 and has worked with the practice for about 20 years. She takes the time to learn about her patients and combines her medical and life experience to provide practical, empathetic care.
 
Julia consults Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
 
Julia has a special interest in women’s health throughout the life cycle, including menopause, and is a member of the Australian Menopause Society. She offers help with:
 
  • Menopause support including perimenopause, hormonal and non-hormonal management options;
  • Menstrual cycle concerns including pain, irregular periods, heavy periods and abnormal bleeding;
  • Contraceptive choices including insertion and removal of Implanon and IUD (Mirena, Kyleena and copper);
  • Sexual health including PCOS, PMS, endometriosis, vulval conditions, sexual issues, STI screening and cervical screening;
  • Antenatal (pregnancy) shared care in affiliation with the Angliss, Box Hill, Monash, Dandenong, Casey, Royal Womens and Mercy hospitals;
  • Reproductive choices including medical termination of pregnancy; and
  • Breast health including breast cancer screening.
Julia has two children and enjoys cooking, being in nature and healthy exercise (including Qi gong).
